We weren't able to find one that met our criteria for being both easy to use and providing essential marketing information, Knowing the effectiveness of your advertising source is critical to getting the results you want and spending your ad dollars wisely.

Fortunately, we have George Kosch on board who is not only the Technical Director at Worldprofit, but also a skilled Software Engineer. George has been working on an Ad Tracker for the exclusive use of our Worldprofit members. We are releasing this clever tool later today. It will be a free service for our valued Worldprofit Members.

Worldprofit Inc announces new Money Makers Program as part of Membership Services

This month, as part of expansion plans for 2010, Worldprofit announced an addition to it’s home business program.

The new Worldprofit program called “Money Makers” is a result of research and evaluation of various online money-generating and traffic generating products. Those programs, products and software that pass Worldprofit criteria are approved and then posted for the Worldprofit Membership.

Worldprofit Members can select the products or services they wish to promote and use the accompanying Money Makers Promo Kit to do so using a variety of online marketing systems that are intiated with the click of a mouse.

Commented George Kosch, Technical Director and Instructor at Worldprofit about this recent addition. “If there is one thing we’ve learned after all these years in business, it’s that you have to make things simple and easy for people. Time for A Reality Check!

I think it's time for a reality check.

I saw it again today. A support ticket came in with the complaint. "I've been in your program for 8 days and haven't made any money." We reviewed the account and noticed the customer had not started the Worldprofit Bootcamp Training. The Bootcamp Training is critical to profiting from the Worldprofit System. Worldprofit provides this FREE training with the Membership as we WANT our Members to succeed in our program but Members have to be willing to do some work.

In this age of instant gratification, and get rich quick schemes, it may be time for a Reality Check.

ANY business, franchise, apprenticeship, coffee shop, hamburger stand, lemonaide stand, education or refined skill requires a period of training, some out of pocket expense, good old fashioned effort and often a little help along the way.

Did Google reach it's monster success in 10 days? How about 12 years and counting?

Starbucks? Were they profiting in 8 days? They had to sell a lot of coffee and go through major growing pains.

How about McDonalds? A success in 3 months? The company started in 1940 and has had ups and downs on the road to success.

A Nurse? 2 - 3 years of college or university training, tuition costs and on graduation FINALLY a nice salary. Then more training and more work to stay current in a changing profession.

A Plumber? 3 - 4 year apprenticeship is required. Lots and lots of work!

Olympic Athlete? Jamie Sale, an Olympic Gold Medal Winner in Skating started skating when she was 5, she won a gold medal when she was 23 at the Winter Olympic Games. That's a lot of practice, expense, sweat and tears to reach a goal.

Did you have a Lemonaide stand as a child? Did your parents help you setup the stand, help cover your start up costs? Did your neighbours help you out by buying a cup or two of lemonaide? Did you make any profit in the first hour? How about the second hour. Did you persevere all day in the heat or did you shut it down at the end of the day having spent more than you made?

Being a success at school, in a marriage, as a parent, an athelete, as an entrepreneur, a professional, or business owner takes training, time and consistent hard work - and help from others.

Ask yourself

1. What have I done TODAY to build my business?
2. Have I made an honest effort to work and build this business consistently?
3. Am I making use of all the resources I have available to succeed at what I want to achieve?

A book I highly recommend on success is called "The Outliers" by Malcolm Gladwell.
Gladwell's thesis is that we cannot succeed on our own. You can have all the talent in the world. But it is going to take other people and some subtle advantages helping you along the way for you to achieve high levels of success.

What is Worldprofit?

Today a prospective customer asked me, "What is Worldprofit?"

Although I've been answering this question since 1994, it dawned on me that while the question has stayed constant, the answer has evolved over the last 15 years (much like the web itself). And since we are entering into a new year (2010), I thought I would take a long hard look at both the question and the answer. Indulge me if you will in a brief history, I promise I will keep it short.

In August 1994, three people came together over a kitchen table in Edmonton, Alberta to start a web company. Those people were Dr. Jeffrey Lant a former Harvard Professor and business author; George Kosch a former Jet Pilot instructor in the Canadian Air Force; and Sandi Hunter, a former Educator, and Behavior Analyst. The company was named Worldprofit Inc. Worldprofit started operations the same year that another yet unknown company was setting up shop, Yahoo. Have you heard of them? (Smile)

The core services of Worldprofit have always been web-based: website hosting, website design, and software development. But over the years these core IT services became the back bone for a company that expanded to provide specialized support, education, training and resources for small and home based business owners around the world. Early on we realized that the web offered unlimited opportunities for people who wanted to buy and sell in the world marketplace. These people needed core technical services to get online, but more than that they needed help to navigate, utilize, and profit from the mind-boggling number of resources available to build their own successful online business. As the web and technology changed, Worldprofit also continued to change to meet the needs of our customers. We owe appreciation to our Worldprofit Members, now exceeding 500,000, as we helped them they have helped us build a better company with a customer-centered service mandate.

So to answer the question, What is Worldprofit? My answer in 1994 would be very different than my response today. Here goes...

Worldprofit Inc, a Canadian company continues to offer website hosting, design and development, but the primary services have evolved into support of the small and home business owner. This support includes what our online experience has proven are critical to building a successful online business.
